Dr. Andrea Hsu
Dr. Hsu is a dual board certified periodontist, credentialed in both Canada and the United States of America. She has maintained a private practice limited to Periodontics and Dental Implants for over 10 years and has proudly served the Mississauga community since 2016. Born in Argentina to Taiwanese parents and educated in Quebec, she is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Her practice focuses on managing gum disease with non-surgical and surgical treatments tailored to each patient’s goals and desires. She specializes in a variety of gum grafting techniques, dental implant surgeries, and advanced bone grafting procedures combined with autologous growth factors. She works closely with referring dentists and dental specialists, providing a comprehensive treatment approach for patients. She is also our expert on therapeutic Botox and lip fillers.
After obtaining her dental degree from McGill University, she undertook an additional three year post-graduate training specializing in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery at the University of Minnesota and earned her Masters in Science. She has been involved in teaching dental students since 2010. She was a guest lecturer and a clinical instructor at McGill University and at the University of Toronto, and continues to conduct lectures and in-office seminars. Today she is also an examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada which promotes the national standards of dental specialties in Canada. Dr. Hsu has been fascinated with skin rejuvenation and facial aesthetics. In pursuit of her passion, she is currently completing her three-year Masters in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr. Hsu complements her clinical practice with evidence-based research and has published on many subjects, including treatment of peri-implantitis, research in surgical implant placement protocol in the maxillary sinus area, and gum disease’s relationship with overall health. Her latest manuscript was published in the highly reputed The International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implant in January 2022.
